1. Design & Artwork Creation

Client consultation: Team, club, or individual provides logos, colors, sponsors, and design ideas.

Graphic design: Designers use software like Adobe Illustrator or CorelDRAW to create a custom singlet layout.

3D mock-up: A digital mockup is created for approval, showing how the singlet will look on a body.

🧶 2. Fabric Selection

Polyester Spandex Blend (usually 80% polyester / 20% spandex) for:

High stretch and flexibility

Moisture-wicking and breathability

Durability and comfort

Fabric weight: 220gsm–260gsm (grams per square meter)

🌈 3. Sublimation Printing

The approved artwork is printed onto sublimation transfer paper using sublimation ink.

The printed paper is heat-pressed onto white polyester fabric using:

Heat press or rotary calendar press

At 400°F (204°C) for 30-60 seconds

The ink turns into gas and bonds with the polyester fibers — making the design permanent and fade-resistant.

After printing, the fabric is cooled and then laser cut or die cut into singlet panels:

🧵 5. Stitching & Assembly

Panels are stitched using 4-needle flatlock or overlock stitching to avoid chafing.

Elastic binding is added around the neck, armholes, and leg openings.

Optional: Leg grippers with silicone to prevent riding up.

Male and female cuts are stitched differently to fit anatomical differences.
